So you have done everything to lend curb appeal to your vehicle and now you are all set to have customers bid for it? Well, did you know that there are very small things, almost ignorable that can give you a price that you have always expected?

Everyone Procrastinates but Time Wasters Are the Worst

People who have been selling cars for years claim they can spot time wasters from miles away but when it comes to spotting time wasters – it’s all about checking for intention before replying with a quote and it’s true for calls as well as emails. Some will tell you that buyers who mail asking information shouldn’t be high priority – we beg to differ. If someone intends to buy you will understand their intent right off the bat, however they communicate – mail or call.

Respond to the intention. If you feel there is something in the query that can lead to sale why not respond to it. Keep a responder ready with all facts about your car and just modify as and when you require it.

Sell your car, not your identity!

A common security miss that’s observed in the Malaysia used cars for sale market is that sellers call potential buyers home. This is not the best thing to do if you are worried about your privacy and identity. You never know who may turn up and compromise your identity and security. The best way to do a deal is to call the buyer mid-way and be with him/her on test drives. Don’t let them drive alone.

If there is a deal negotiate a deposit amount as security. Be very clear to the buyer that if deposit amount isn’t paid the car is still in the market.

Also finally when the deal has gone through and you have made the sale, inform authorities about it and let them know that you no longer the owner of the car.
